DIY Whipped Body Butter

What good are scrubs without a clean toxic free moisturizing body butter to go with it?

This makes about 3 small mason jars full. As you whip the mixture it will grow.

Whipped Body Butter:

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Cocoa Butter

1/2 Cup Shea Butter

1/2 Cup Unrefined Coconut Oil

1/2 Cup Cold Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp. Essential Oils

8-10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil - Make sure to use therapeutic grade oils, not all essential oils are created equally. You can swap it out to another oil as well, I am a lavender girl personally.

*Please note if you are pregnant or breastfeeding there are certain Essential Oils that should not be used such as Rose. Please research the Oil prior to using in this case.

*Please be cautious if you choose citrus oils as they are photosensitive, meaning they will make you more sensitive to UV rays.

Directions:

In a Double Broiler, place all of the oils in the top and melt on low heat.

Remove from heat, and let cool. Do not let it solidify fully.

Once it has solidified add the Essential Oil and Whip until creamy.

Apply to your body sparingly. A little goes a long way. If you put too much on you will look and feel greasy and leave fingerprints everywhere and then you will have a different sort of problem.

This is what I used to make and slather on my hands which were covered with eczema. All the natural oils are soothing and help moisturize that red, irritated skin.
